cafe causette x mandarin oriental , hong kong

By now, those who read my blog knows that I can be quite a foodie if I want to be. After a day of shopping at Harvey Nichols and random shops around Central, my best friend recommended that we pop by Cafe Causette at Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong for a lazy chat over afternoon tea and scones, which was a very good idea considering we had to soothe our aching feet and wandering eyes after shopping and walking around.

The best part about the whole afternoon tea experience was --- the scones. It was so so so good! Served warm, crisp outer layer, buttery, light and fluffy.... perfect! and the rose petal jam paired with clotted cream was incredible.. my favourite jam! not too sweet and had a distinct taste. If you can't part with the jam, guess what, you can actually buy the jam home.

I had a very enjoyable afternoon tea session , wish I had space for coffee but it's okay. Till next time!

paul's takashimaya , singapore

*Warning: A very unhappy diner's review* Singapore's Paul was simply disappointing to me. Selection was not only limited (only visually available in the menu) but the exorbitant prices was such a turn off. I hope the Singapore Paul's team will gradually get their act together. Till then, I'll rather be at Paul's in Paris.

bois de rose

I'm in LOOOVE with Dior's "Bois de Rose" colection , but unfortunately I can only dream of it right now... it's just perfect in my eyes ♥

hk details

Just a few f&b pics taken in Hong Kong. What you can't see in this pictures is the not so perfect weather - winter, cold and rain. The crazy things I do for food.

Picture 1 .... Always wanted to try the famous Polo bun at Kam Wah Cafe (MTR: Prince Edward). You'll be greeted with a buttery aroma of bread products at the cafe. The Polo bun was fantastic! The crust was extraordinary crunchy! Imagine when the cold butter melts lightly in the hot crusty bun and followed by the melting of both the crust and butter inside your mouth, how heavenly it is .. don't forget to the egg tarts and milk tea. Good stuff!

Picture 2 ... Deemed as the McDonalds of Hong Kong with Hong Kong food through and through. The most famous result of Tsui Wah’s is its crispy bun with condensed milk which I normally have. This time around I decided to try their fish balls set and it did not dissapoint especially chowed down with a little chili oil.

Picture 3 ... Tsim Tsa Tsui (TST) is my new Central. Unfortunately some of my favourite haunts are located at Central, hence a MTR trip down is needed. Get a Octopus card for travelling around Hong Kong. Fastest way to beat the jam!

wildcrazybeautiful's love list

I must say it's a little early over here but I'm thinking what's better to kickstart the day by blogging in bed. As usual, back from a long trip, pretty pooped from unpacking but I'm glad to be back (really glad). Currently loading some pictures from my recent trip, so stay tuned. Till then, enjoy my posts!

Every girl should have her own nail polish wall. Mine's currently dominated by shades of red, dark gothic, and pastel colors - interesting nail collection I must say. If I have to recommend the best nail polish brush, I must say OPI rules thus far. The OPI brush allows color to glide on smoothly onto the nail.

There's nothing more whimsical than a lovely Chloe summer pleated dress. Totally major.

Nothing wrong to have a little Bohemian charm infused into your outfit. I'm still hunting for this Chanel tote. I wonder whether they still have this in stock.

Sea of shoes. I'm looking towards having a ocean of shoes. I guess I'm getting there ...

What can I say about the perfect fashion house. You can never go wrong with a little Chanel in your wardrobe.
